The final results came out after voting among 219 experts, including 24 former footballers.

Thus, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski took first place with 8481 points. The gap between the Pole and Lionel Messi was huge as the Argentinean had 7830 points.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah became third with 7589 points; Karim Benzema was right behind with 7214 points. And Chelsea midfielder Jorginho closed the top five with 6859 points.
