  1. What an amazing young man… It indeed takes a great deal of courage and guts to come out the way he did in front of a school assembly and at such a critical moment in his life just before getting a scholarship. He could have taken the cowards route and kept it to himself…like I did…to my ever lasting regret.

Onward and upward young man….God speed.

  2. Seriously, when will highschool jocks stop being a cliche?! Bullying by jocks is still a prevalent thing!! It seems every generation has this issue. Also, kudos to him for doing this in Missouri – not a friendly state for anything liberal. Kid's got moxie.

  3. Jake is in inspiration to us all. i came out when i was his age and it was hard, my family were members of one of those propaganda religions that hates members of the LGBTQ+ Community, but hides clergy who abuse young children

  4. Obvious partisan anchor and 'sub-networks', shows lack of judgment. And, I'm not republican! NBC should not have licenses extended, nor should CBS or ABC. Source of divisiveness–along with Fox and NPR. Take British example of 'for-profit' requirement of neutrality. Minimal IQ's demonstrated.

  5. and just think…..if organized religion stopped believing that their legal right to hate, superseded ones basic human right to love and be loved, there would be no reason for anyone to 'come out'……organized religion has to change their mind set by saying the LGBTQ+ community is wrong…..

  6. Will I hope he learns how to built wise for he's future and people are smart but we all need more focus and it gets more real when at age 30 as adults and i hope they don't miss up a lot.

  7. he went to my school. i wasnt there to watch him bc he graduated a few years back but when he was there it was the last time we were good. top 5 best players from the school. everyone at school knows exaclty who he is. Ezekial elliot went too but i dont think they ever played together.
