  1. interesting what Gary said about Old Trafford and the training ground, I went to both in the early-mid 90s my dad was a man united fan, both were by far the best in England, Old Trafford was better than Wembley which okay was falling down, but nowhere else was even close in terms of facilities, they set the standard for everyone else. By the sounds of it the Glazers just stopped when they took up the reigns and all the other clubs have caught up and passed them by, seems like a metaphor for the football too.

Before Klopp Liverpool's recruitment was similar, people forget they spent loads but didn't get anywhere. It's the culture at man united if you are there you will be paid more and that's about it, there is no hunger to do the hard stuff for success.

They should introduce a cap-like man city did with their recruitment of players and get ones that actually want to play and win as opposed to those that are just there for the inflated salary.

  2. The way Gary Neville feels, I felt exactly the same when he played in those dismal England tournament performances. At the highest level, Neville and his team mates were broken

  3. Man United lacks class at all levels – owners, players, fans. They deserve to be struggling and for a long time at that – there's a sense of entitlement that other fans detest. Liverpool fans sang support for Ronaldo due to the loss of his son while at the same game some Man United fans mocked the Hillsborough disaster. Liverpool FC has a spirit that the Glazer's money could never buy. LFC fans hounded out their last owners when it become clear they weren't it for the right reasons – Man Utd fans don't have what it takes to do same … that's the difference – that's what makes one club great and the other pretenders. You'll Never Walk Alone.

  4. The problem is the people who the glazers appointed to spend the money, be it on managers or players, there is no doubt that they have backed the club with funds , the simple fact is the players have not performed for any manager after Fergie left, and sholskar should never have been in change of MAN UTD, put the club back at least 5 years , neville full of crap when it comes to the reasons of utds demise yet again.

  5. It's a shame that he spent the entire game talking about how bad United were, rather than talking about how good Liverpool were.

  6. I thought they were worse in the 2019/20 season. However, they've spent quite a lot of money since. The Amad Diallo deal is mind-boggling. 17m up front, which could double if he actually makes it, and he can't get in the Rangers side.

  7. Neville complaining about the Glazers is hilarious. Business owners are always in it for a profit. Just ask him about the profits he makes off his football club and hotel businesses.

The issue is with the recruitment and lack of character from the players. United have spent more than enough – if they were successful the focus wouldn’t be on the Glazers at all.
