The different is that Watson case has been investigated and found no wrong doing. If NFL suspended Watson then it would open can of worms that the gamblers can pay people to accuse athletes of teams the gambled against. Watson already missed a full year.
Browns should just cut Baker. It's obvious they're not going to get anything for him in a trade while he's making 18M a year.

Why was it ok for the saints and falcons to pursue Watson but the Browns are wrong for doing it. 2. They told Baker before the combine they would look into top tier quarterbacks so how did they do him wrong there. They will possibly out right cut him I would think but this is business right so don’t they have the right to improve themselves. This team is Super Bowl ready just needed a QB.

Every other NFL team is seeing how the Browns are screwing Mayfield. Therefore, Mayfield has no incentive to play nice with Cleveland and come back for 1 year. Baker can be the biggest A-hole in the world in 2022 and he'd still get the same contract in 2023 as he'd get being 'nice.'
