  1. Lol they have been building around him getting Fields all new coaching staff, all new OL, new WRs, new RBs, new TEs, so I believe they been working hard to help Justin in just one year just because they did not spend 120 million for one guy does not mean they are not helping him. Smfh

  2. The Bears will be ok, they had 2 play callers that both sucked (Nagy/Lazor) and were calling plays as if Andy Dalton was the starter. Not Justin Fields. All while having the toughest schedule in the league. They had a 1000 yd WR last year (not Robinson) and 1000 yd RB in a Montgomery. All while having the worst OL in the league. The draft did not fall the way to help the offense. Plain and simple… and I applaud Ryan Poles for taking best player available because their secondary besides J.Johnson was terrible at best. Now they add peices there with a defensive line that is basically all coming back. You can say Mack and Hicks. They didn't even play more than half a season. Mack played well in the games he was in… but when that is less that half a season???? Quinn had 18.5 sacks. Gipson had 7 sacks and 5 forced fumbles. Playing in Mack's place. I dont see line as a drop off like others do. I see it as… really getting better with better DBs. Overall I would say the defense is slightly better than last year. Offensively the O-line is going to be the same. I hope with these play callers and grabbing actual blocking TEs and a real FB they can all protect a little better than 3 steps and throw. Overall offense very slightly better. But a lot depends on play calling and Justin Fields. I personally think both will be better. So that ESPN person that said the Bears will end up with the #1 pick. Please… look at the Jets schedule vs. The Bears and you tell me who will win more. Because I'll bet you (and I don't ever bet on the Bears) the Bears don't draft in the first 5 picks. Look at your history of when the Bears drafted. And look at the QBs the Bears had. All not the same caliber of J. Fields.

  3. Let’s just say we are dealing with the worst QB in 30 plus years of BAD Bear QBs. Fields proved to not be any where near professional level football . It’s not the same as college where your team plays kids who are low level in talent and playing 10 yards off receivers . Everyone is elite at every position in NFL . Well Justin proved he can’t play with the big boys yet hilariously says the NFL is a lot easier than he expected and speed of the game is nothing at all like they warn about ?. He’ll be out of the league in 2 years .

  4. Are people forgetting about Montgomery and Mooney and Kmet ? They have solid players. Build that defense back to that level and within a year or two their contenders. People are so short sighted

  5. So much to talk about here. But in the end, outside media doesn’t realize how bad ownership is. They have repeatedly now come out and said they know nothing about football, which is why the future was traded for Justin Fields when they shouldn’t have survived the previous season. As for not surrounding Fields with little this off-season, it’s just a philosophical difference. Miami is going all in for one season. Bears don’t have the money nor the picks to do what they did. They don’t have a solid o line and almost their whole receiver group was walking out anyways. I don’t think people realize how many crappy and broken pieces new management is having to pick off the floor. They make the jump next year with all that cap space

  6. I don't think you guys can put the excuse that justin wasn't good enough to keep there jobs when Nagy as a coach was completely incompetent at every phase of game management!! and Pace was barely hit or major miss in his drafting an overall decisions

  7. That was one thing they got right last year moving up drafting Justin Fields you guys are making too much out of this. The receiving Corps is going to surprise a lot of people it's not as bad as you guys mainstream media think.

  8. Why are you guys coddling Fields so much. You’re treating him like a little girl. If he doesn’t play well, he’ll be out of the league. If he balls out, he’ll be a star. It’s that simple. You could say the whole “ if he only had better players around him” BS with any player that’s ever played the game. The NFL alumni is full of people who “ if they only had more stars around them” would have been great players, but instead they never got a chance to play.

This is life. This is how nature is as well.

  9. I actually think the owners heard they was bout to take Justin and let it happen cause they was like this kid can be the next big QB when they was looking for a new GM and head coach I think they were telling interviewers that they had to fit with Justin to get The job

  10. National media has been pathetic on this fields situation. With all the holes on the roster…. they had to reach and draft for Pickens or Pierce, or sign overrated Christian Kirk for $80 million and then their WR core would be fixed?! Morons

  11. A simple question for Roquan Smith, Darnell Mooney, and David Montgomery: "How excited are you that Ryan Poles is your new GM?"
And 3 words of advice: "Don't get hurt!"

  12. You guys talk so much crap but Fields would’ve hands down been the number 1 overall pick in this past draft. He will be perfectly fine bc Chicago will lean heavily on a power run game while Fields plays off the boot.

  13. Justin fields has shown me as a bears fan he’s got way more arm talent and he’s a way better athlete than Trubisky. All he needs to do this year is get better at reading defensive schemes and limit turnovers. My only concern is that Fields is going to have 0 GREAT receivers, his TEs are trash and he no protection because his LINE sucks. I’ll take a below .500 season if Fields shows that growth of being able to read defenses. A great/successful season would be a wild card spot.

  14. My thing is everybody is questioning Chicago and Justin fields, but what if the Jets and jags have pick the top 10 again next year? Will people say they haven’t surrounded them with enough talent, or will they pick another QB?

  15. The bears drafted Justin because their going to build around him nagy had the right vision just poor play calling. Poor drafting besides a few pick in the past. Justin had no help last year but this year will only improve him and by his 3rd year he should be in the playoffs. I said it first

  16. Bears are turning into the knicks. Clear all the cap space thinking they will get KD and top free agents. They will be like the Jags and overpay average players next year.

  17. Fields has to play as well as Jalen Hurst did for Philly last year for growth. If he doesn't, he isn't the guy and da bears will be drafting qb next year

  18. What they don’t realize is, There is weapons, did these Wideouts forget how to play and catch..??‍♂️ We got some WRs that hasn’t been giving a full opportunity yet, all have punt return and potential big play ability. Our team is built like no other. I don’t want to watch the same style with every team, we different. Our Defense is going to get a lot of take aways, unlike when we couldn’t stop anybody on 3rd down.. Keep that same energy when we are in the thick of things..

  19. They didn’t have the proper resources to PROPERLY build around Fields unlike the Jets, Dolphins, nor the quality roster like a San Francisco because of Ryan Pace and Nagy’s handicapping of cap space and picks throughout the years. Bears went best player available for a roster in limbo in the hopes of building a strong foundation to catapult the team into long term contention sooner rather than later by not reaching on other needs, end of discussion.

  20. Florio is beating this theme to death. It's pretty common for a bad team to draft a QB high and then fire their coach a year later. It's worked out well for Justin Herbert. Trevor Lawrence is in the same boat right now. I know Florio needs a storyline to get clicks during the slow season but his sanctimonious tone on this so annoying.
