Barcelona President Joan Laporta spoke to Mundo Deportivo and discussed the possibility of signing Kylian Mbappé or Erling Haaland. The official avoided answering a question about the PSG star and hinted that the club would not take risks if it realizes that the purchase of the leader of Borussia Dortmund gets financially unattainable.
«Mbappe? Big clubs are interested in big players. This is part of the show business of football. If we talk about a player, we would increase the price, hence I don’t want to comment on issues with the player or others because it would harm the interests of the club.»
“I will not talk about Haaland or any specific players, but I can tell you that we will not execute any operation that puts the club at risk. Barca will not lose its mind over any player.”
